This 7 Days tour Agadir Chegaga Desert, is one of the best route to discover the depths of Morocco, its richness and diversity. We take you from the coastal town of Agadir to the valleys and oases in the interior of the country, the city of Tafraout and its rocks paints, this tour goes through the beautiful dunes of the Erg Chegaga desert where you will have the opportunity to take the backs of camels to get to the bivouac in the middle of the dunes, play sandbording and watch a magic sunset, After Chegaga, continue to M’hamid and Zagora then Ouarzazate to return to Agadir.
Our 7 Days tour Agadir Chegaga Desert, starts from the beautiful city of Agadir, towards the tourist town of Tafraout and its rocks paints. The road takes us through the village of Ait Baha where we will visit the beautiful Kasbah of Tizourgane. A Kasbah where the Berber architecture and the defensive strategies of the ancient inhabitants are manifested, the kasbah is built on a hill offering a clear vision on the whole valley thus preventing any surprise attack. We will spend the night in Tafraout.
During the second day, we will have enough time to explore the area and surroundings of Tafraout, a small village with about 5,000 inhabitants. The valley contains several small villages with splendid Kasbahs, artistic carvings on the rocks and ancient irrigation systems.
The third day, we leave Tafraout, and we head for Tata, on the road, we cross several Berber villages and small oases that separate them.
After breakfast, we leave Tata and head for our major destination: the dunes of Chegaga and the majestic desert. Here you will find the most beautiful dunes of all the country with a height that sometimes exceeds 300m, thus offering an unforgettable panorama. To get to the camp in the heart of the dunes, you will take camels and enjoy an amazing sunset.
After breakfast, we leave the beautiful dunes Chegaga behind us, and after sixty miles of track, we return to civilization by arriving at the first village of M’hamid, then we continue to the city of Zagora throughout its splendid palm grove.
We leave the pretty dunes and take the track that leads to the last village on the paved road, M’hamid, then we continue all along the grove of Draa to Zagora where we will spend the night.
From Zagora, we head for Ouarzazate where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirte and the cinema museum and then visit the fortified village of Ait benhaddou, declared as world heritage by UNESCO. After Ait benhaddou, we travel to Agadir via Taznakht to complete this trip.
